We would like to express gratitude to you for your support of our business over the years. You all have become friends and we consider you all a part of our family.
As many of you know, we have experienced significant events in our family over the past 9 months. These events have reminded us how delicate life is and how important it is for us to devote time to our family and each other.
Over the past months our volume of orders has increased far beyond our wildest dreams. We have become concerned with the time that it has taken to complete orders and get them shipped off to our customers. This has created a great deal of stress for us especially knowing the shipping time that is involved with our shipments to our international customers.
Because you are all so important to us and our commitment to you is foremost in our minds and because we would like to continue to create and sell our hair forks to our loyal customers, we have found it necessary to make the following changes to our internet business. We will operate the business as follows beginning now and continuing throughout the summer and at that time will evaluate which approach will work for us going forward.
- We have begun stocking our ETSY store with completed forks and our goal is to continue to stock it with a wide variety of styles, woods, and lengths. When you make your ETSY purchase you will receive the exact fork pictured in the ETSY listing which will be shipped within 2 business days. Once we have completed our existing website orders we will focus on keeping the ETSY store stocked.
- We will be limiting made-to-order forks via our website. We will be offering a variety of specials through the website on a regular basis. This may be a particular style of fork or type of wood for a particular period of time. That will be the extent of the custom made forks that we will be making. If you would like a custom version of a specific style, (wood, length, or number of prongs), the time to buy it is when it is featured on one of our specials.
- We will complete all orders that have been placed to this point and will meet all commitments that we have made to some of you
- We have resisted raising international shipping charges for many years but it has become necessary to increase international shipping amounts.
